Chassis No. 201-02/76

Model history:

Between 1976 and 1977 TOJ (Team Obermoser Jörg) built two F2 cars, the F201 and the F202 for 1977. The F201 featured a raised wing in full width across the nose, the F202 came with two separate wings, one to each side. Due to Jörg Obermoser, there were six F201 built, four for private customers and two cars for Keke Rosberg, TOJ’s works driver for a year and a half.

When Keke left in the beginning of 1977 Obermoser built a complete new F2, the F202. Only 2 cars were built, one for Rolf Stommelen and one for Danny Sullivan, both works drivers.

Specific history of this car:

It is believed that Keke Rosberg drove around 10 races in 1976 for Jörg Obermoser with the TOJ F201-02/76, which includes the Jim Clark Revival and the Rheinpokal at Hockenheim, the International ADAC race of Hessen and the Sauerland Bergpreis.

In 1977 Rosberg left TOJ for Chevron/Hart to drive in the Formula Pacific-Tasman-Stuyvesant Series. It is believed that the car has been sold in 1977 due to the arrival of the F202 to its first private owner. Unfortunately only very little is known of what happened to the car in these days.

In the 1992 the car has been found in very poor but complete condition in Germany. It has been completely restored from 1992 onwards and some € 70.000 were invested in the restoration which also included a brand new BMW M12 engine. The restoration has been fully documented and the car comes with a large file full of old photos and invoices, as well as the period racing documents signed by Keke Rosberg.
